Psalm 121:2
Where do we go for help? Throughout history, we know that this question was answered in a mulitude of ways by diiferent people. But how believers respond to that kind of question? There are times after we have tried every possible solutions and failed, then that is the only time we cry to God for help. In our text the psalmist clearly identified that God is our help, and comforted us by explaining who is this God, what he has done, and what he is doing. In verse 3, " He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber." The psalmist goes on to encourage the Israelites as they worship God. "He will not allow your foot to be moved", God's protection is upon you as you do his good pleasure, though there are times that we don't see and feel it because our emotion and understanding are being clouded by our situations and problems. The promise of the Lord is that he will make you steadfast, and whatever happens, he will not let you to be moved. " He who keeps you will not slumber nor sleep. Such wonderful and assuring promise of the Lord, that whatever we are going through that weakens and discourages us, we have an assurance that God is not sleeping, how much more slumber. Our God is at work to bring our circumstances to his desired plan and amazing fruition, though at times we feel that he is sleeping or just don't care about us anymore. In verse 5, "The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand." He is the almighty God, we can always rest assured that there is nothing too hard for him(Genesis 18:14), he can surely without doubt can take care of us even in our most frightening predicaments. "KEEP ME SAFE TILL THE STORM PASSES BY" l. In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face While the storm howls above me, and there's no hiding place 'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry Keep me safe till the storm passes by. ll. Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by" But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise Where the storms never darken the skies Chorus: Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more Till the clouds roll forever from the sky Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand Keep me safe till the storm passes by. Christians, God is your keeper, whatever storm pass your way, YOU ARE TOTALLY SECURED IN THE PRESSENCE OF GOD! (REPOST)
